Program and Social Media Coordinator

Chris is proud to serve as your Program and Social Media Coordinator. He is responsible for developing and implementing the programmatic aspects of AfLARA, as well as managing our social media presence. He is a native of Rowland, North Carolina and a member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina. In his spare time, he is a rural poverty advocate and news junkie with a passion for reading and writing about all things rural. You can read his writing at Legal Ruralism. In the past, he has lived in rural Maine, New Hampshire, and North Carolina and his academic background has focused heavily on rural social policy and resource allocation. He has a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College in Native American Studies and Sociology (modified with Public Policy), a Juris Doctor from Michigan State University, and is an MPA candidate at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
